Hey friends, PMF has experienced some tremendous growth in our userbase throughout 2007 - we've learned a lot this year and have gotten some great feedback on how to make the site even better in 2008.
If this is your first time - welcome. Take a look in the Boards if you're looking or are available for jams with other folks throughout Western PA. Post your band to our database and check out the gigCalendar for up to date news on local shows. We've temporarily stopped guest posting in the Boards to keep the content spam free... We're testing out ideas for what will truly be the best message interface for musicians in the 'burgh. You're going to love what we have in store.
We have some exciting changes that are in progress right now. You can expect a full site re-launch in the beginning of 2008! Since 2003 many of you have been helping us to get better at serving the Pittsburgh music scene and we're looking forward to helping you kick butt in the new year. Our 5th year together is going to be the best yet - and it's because of feedback from people like you. Get out there and play! |

It's been over 3 years since PittMusicianFinder.com was born. Since that time the site has grown from a simple message-board to an all-encompassing force extending to every part of the Pittsburgh music community.
We've been working hard on some new features that we know are going to bring this scene together like no site before.
- An integrated message board. The Board is where you want to find musicians, and where they're going to find you. Registered members can also buy and sell gear as well as discuss the ins-and-outs of our music community.
- An entire listing of the venues making our city the number one music destination in the US
- A massive Local Artists destination listing all the bands making waves in our community. If your band isn't listed, it's easy to upload a profile and get your name out.
- The Gig Calendar . The one place to advertise your bands' shows or just check out who is playing at your local venue this weekend. It's never been easier. Generate directions from your place using our built-in link with Google maps.
- RSS Feeds & Podcasts . The one Pittsburgh site to offer weekly interviews via your iPod, and a place to connect with your favorite local bands one-on-one.
If you were ever a registered member of PMF from July '03 on, you still are. No need to re-register. If you had a user name but forget the password we've got you covered.
We'll be completely open in just a few days. For now, register to get access to the pulse of the Pittsburgh community. Registration is free and optional, but it's the only way to make sure you'll use this site the best way that works for you. All registered users can upload their artist profiles, submit their gigs on our gig calendar, have complete access to The Board, and submit their favorite venues. It's easy. PittMusicianFinder.com - Your site. Your community. Your music.
